Another Mortal Kombat Movie? Really? I Mean Really?

Came across this video in my endless day of searching for movie news online. According to The Latino Review, this is a feeler short directed by Kevin Tancharoen to encourage Warner Brothers to pay for a full length Mortal Kombat feature. What’s new about this version? Well, it’ll likely be R. Which means violence and gore like the game.

I am also reluctant to see another video game adaptation especially given the history of masterpieces like Street Fighter and the original Mortal Kombat. However, this short-film really look of much higher quality than we have come to expect so I would not mind a relatively low-budget movie made off this.
